Home Is Where The Heart Is Most living spaces in Disturbia are quiant little ranches with lots of property and livestock. However, there are some extravagant houses with well plotted gardens and big fancy doors and windows. Regardless of your living situation, gossip flows freely between most neighbors and it's hard to keep anything a secret.

Medora Riding Stables On a fairly large plot of land, a large stable sits, with pretty white fences holding in a variety of horses. The pastures are always green during the warmer months, since there is an underground watering system. All boarders are allowed to ride their horses around in the forest that circles the ranch. Other domestic farm animals are here, from cows to chickens. People can come here to board horses, or to take horse back riding lessons. Competitions are held every Saturday here, with many people attending. These competitions range from barrel racing to horse racing.

Alexandria Clinic Sick? Depressed? Dying? Here's the place to go see a Doctor or buy your meds. The hospitals are all far out of town, so, let's hope no one contracts tuberculosis or something. Colds seem to be constant during the winter - and during those times, sinus pills and cough medicines are always sold out.

Bretton Ridge Park Little kids come to play here, but teenagers and adults come to sit around and do nothing too. Actually, a few teens -have- been known to climb the monkey bars and jump off of the swings, but we're not naming any names here. It sits close to Vespera Lake, where people go on dates, fish and swim. It's not just for kids anymore!

Vacancy The 'group' meets here every once in a while when the risk factor was high in other places. They even have a nickname for this old shack of a house; 'Vacany'. This house has bad luck in it - and it definitely needs to be fixed up.

Dorsch Library Known for it's extensive fiction collection, it isn't recommended for it's non-fiction. The books are old, falling apart, and quite out of date. It is, however, a very popular place to hang out, hold silent meetings, or work on projects, as long as they don't include anything non-fictional. The building is large, with two floors, separating the fiction(lower floor) from the upper level(non-fiction). It is rumored that there is a basement, though no one has ever bragged about finding it. Now, the story behind the library's name...In 1947, a woman by the name of Mary Ann Dorsch walked through the doors of the Disturbia Library. While reading at a table, she suffered a fatal heart attack. In fear of being sued by the rather unfair law system, the library was renamed in honor the dead woman.

Coffee Arabica Move over Starbucks! With state-of-the-art coffee makers, boldly painted walls, faux mole skin furniture...This place is not only full of atmosphere, it's also full of delicious coffee smells. Their coffee triumphs over anything that Starbucks has ever made, but you can only find them in Disturbia. So, if you're looking for a delicious cup of coffee, this is the place to go.

Frontier Feed & Farm Supply The cheapest place in town to get your animals food and tack supplies! They have everything from cat food to horse sattles, depending on what you need. They also have a farmer's market set up a few times a year with games for the kids while their parents shop. If you need anything for your animals, including medicine that the vet prescribes, this is the place to go.

Clothing Boutique This warehouse full of clothes, is separated into various sections for people with all kinds of income. When you walk in the massive place, you are greeted with cashiers, and then the expensive clothes. You've got your three-piece suits, and Prada bags. Behind that, you have your more scene-esque and goth clothing, that still costs a pretty penny. As you continue to travel back, you pass jeans, t-shirts, and shoes...Finally, at the back of the store, you see the thrift store-esque items. Everything for everyone!

Waico Market From organics to pure preservatives, this grocery store is much like the Clothing Boutique. A little bit for everyone. Aisles of candy, veggie hot dogs, and lettuce. Shelves of organic milk, miso soups, and honey bear jars. If you can't find it, here you may need to grow it yourself. Sadly, this place can be a bit on the pricey side...

Bobby's Kitchen A family owned resturant, Bobby's serves mostly homemade foods. From fried chicken to chicken noodle soup, they serve every meal, and ones in between! They look like a modern resturant on the outside, but on the inside, its like stepping back into time. It is completely old diner orientated.

Price's Pub If you're looking for a place to forget your worries, and kick up your feet, this may be the place for you. During the daylight hours, of course. There are booths for a more family friendly feel, and a bar, as is seen in all pubs. The bathrooms and clean and well-kept, and the alcohol is always flowing. At night, however, you may want to stay away from the bathrooms, because the occasional dealer maybe making a sale, and you wouldn't want to get caught up in that, now would you?

Disturbia Police Department These men in blue aren't your cliche comic book cops. You'll never catch them munching on donuts or sleeping on the job. In fact, you'll never even see them in the office, unless they're bringing in a criminal. It's a big place, all made of stone, and reaching about five stories. The main floor is the lobby, with a few of the high ranking offices, the next two floors are where they keep the criminals and the "over-nighters", and the final two floors are strictly offices, working on crimes that haven't been solved yet...Like gangs of animals running around at night.

Abandoned Strip Mall Well, in an effort to modernize the community, a strip mall was being built, but somehow it kind of got lost to time. Nothing's been done with it, but sometimes, during the night, you can see people hanging out by it and inside of it. There's not really much going on there, unless you run into the wrong crowd at the wrong time.

DunRite Auto Repair Oil changes, tire rotations, dings and scratches, these guys do it all. Even if your car gets totaled, they can make it nearly new again! It's gonna cost you a pretty penny though, since they don't have the most up-to-date systems and tools, and you might be without a car for a couple of days...

Old Forge Movie Theater A movie theater that was built a -long- time ago. Whenever a few good movies come out, people generally flock to said theater because it's one of the main sources of entertainment available. There's always talk about 'restoration' and 'fixing the seats so people don't fall on their butts anymore', but it's yet to happen. The popcorn's pretty good, though.

Kidder Elementary Welcome to the world, little boys and girls. This is the beginning of the longest and most grueling part of your life, and the teachers won't fail to remind you. Many parents are afraid to send their children here, for fear of their child leaving with mental problems. The teachers are harsh, and never fail to push their students, no matter how young, to do the best (and better) they can. Despite the frightening atmosphere, it has been said that Kidder Elementary is a very, very good school...If you can handle it.

Willettes Middle School Definitely a break from elementary school, Willettes Middle School is where all the kids learn their bad habits. Not much learning takes place in here, unless you count skipping school and petty theft learning. You will usually find the teachers at their desks, checking their email, or pretending to teach, or you find them in the Teacher's Lounge, smoking or gossiping about their students. Hopefully you've retained everything you learned in elementary school, because you're gonna have a hard time once you get out of here otherwise.

Disturbia High Where children learn that they are -not- the center of the universe! No, it's basically a high school that's a little ways from the elementary school. The social hierarchy stands, and you'd better not be there after hours. During the night, anything can happen, but by day it's just your normal life-changing highschool with a flair for embarassment, drama and love. More than once, some students have been left overnight in the locker... Never to be seen again.

Church on the Rise We know not everyone is a fan of church but that doesn't mean that every town doesn't have one! So here's Disturbia's church. You'd be surprised to see that they actually have some fun activities once in awhile. So maybe, next time, you'll go when mom begs.

Disturbia Cemetery During the daylight hours, the field looks rather quaint. Bouquets of fake flowers spurting from the ground, light reflecting off the newer headstones. It's rather nice, and peaceful. However, when the sun is no longer out, the suspense seems to rise around the place. People will hold their breath as they drive by, and the gates will close to keep out the riffraff. The ancient headstones seem to stand out more, pulling your eye toward them. It's not a pleasant walk at night, through the graveyard. It's best to avoid it at all cost, unless you plan on running into some ghosts.

The Old Meese Factory It used to be a factory of some sort, but goes under the name ‘The Old Meese’. The electricity flickers, there's doors leading to nowhere and unless you feel lucky you probably shouldn't take the left staircase after the sixth floor. Meetings are held here, out of the public eye. Some even say it's haunted!

Arkell Forest Arkell literally means "helmet protection". The animorphs sometimes use this dense forest as protection from prying eyes. Don't wander off too far, though; you might get lost as these woods go on forever.

Aolani Field Aolani Field literally means "heavenly cloud" and it is no surprise how it earned that name. Tall, golden grass swaying in the ever-present breeze, the sweet scent of the wildflowers, and the wonderful purity of the air all give the illusion of peace. It's at the twilight hours of the day that the field really seems like a cloud, since everything seems to float and blend. Moderator: kaii

Vespera Lake It's no surprise as to how Vespera Lake earned it's name, which literally means "Evening Star." At night, the lake becomes a mirror of the sky above, clouded or not. The stars overhead reflect into the water, their beauty amplified by the clarity of said water and its rippling.

Aislin River Aislin means "Dream visions" in Gaelic/Latin, and one only needs to gaze into its depths on a clear day and sleep near its banks. Whoever falls asleep alongside the river will experience dreams that could possibly make or break them, depending on their intensity and the person's past. Some claim that it is an oracle, yet others say that it is simply a fool's delusion that brought about the myth.

Bartow Skyscrapers, high crime rates, constant traffic...Bartow is a tiny city, with a population of way too many. It can be a scary place to live if you can't afford much, but it can also be a rather nice place to live...You just have to know the right people. New buildings are being built all the time, kicking out the people that can't afford much. Those people get forced into Disturbia, not that they mind.
